Angelina At The Palace

Angelina's love of ballet takes her into the excitement and expectations of a palace visit, where new experiences bring both opportunity and nerves. The little mouse's enthusiasm makes the adventure inviting, while her efforts to find her footing give children feelings they can recognise. A warm story for young dancers and anyone learning that a special occasion can require patience, practice and confidence.

Age suitability and learning: Preschool (3-5), Primary (6-8). The illustrated story suits shared reading with younger children and more independent exploration as reading grows. Following events encourages prediction, sequencing and vocabulary; discussing the characters gives children practice recognising feelings and considering other perspectives.
