Angelina Ballerina And The Princess

Angelina is excited by the chance to perform for a princess, but her hopes are challenged when things do not go to plan. Her journey gives the glamour of ballet a recognisable emotional side, exploring disappointment as well as determination. A warm story for young readers learning that a special opportunity can involve uncertainty, and that effort and confidence matter even when the outcome is not perfect.

Age suitability and learning: Preschool (3-5), Primary (6-8). The illustrated story suits shared reading with younger children and more independent exploration as reading grows. Following events encourages prediction, sequencing and vocabulary; discussing the characters gives children practice recognising feelings and considering other perspectives.
