Angelina Ballerina At Ballet School

Angelina cannot wait to return to ballet school, until an embarrassing mistake makes her dread going back. Family and friends help her see that a stumble does not have to mean giving up something she loves. This reassuring story gives a familiar childhood worry a gentle, encouraging shape, making it a useful shared read for talking about mistakes, trying again and accepting support when confidence has taken a knock.

Age suitability and learning: Preschool (3-5), Primary (6-8). The illustrated story suits shared reading with younger children and more independent exploration as reading grows. Following events encourages prediction, sequencing and vocabulary; discussing the characters gives children practice recognising feelings and considering other perspectives.
