Angelina Ice Skates

Angelina and her friends are preparing an Ice Dance, but rehearsals become difficult when teasing turns into a snowball fight. With the performance in danger, Angelina needs to find a way for everyone to get along. Katharine Holabird and Helen Craig bring the wintry setting to life in a warm picture-book adventure about cooperation, responding to unkindness and making room for others in something you love doing.

Age suitability and learning: Preschool (3-5), Primary (6-8). The illustrated story suits shared reading with younger children and more independent exploration as reading grows. Following events encourages prediction, sequencing and vocabulary; discussing the characters gives children practice recognising feelings and considering other perspectives.
