Angelina On Stage

Angelina takes to the stage, where her love of dancing must meet the practical demands and emotions of a performance. Excitement, friendships and the wish to do well give the little mouse's adventure plenty of recognisable feelings. A warm picture story for children who enjoy ballet or are preparing to perform themselves, opening conversation about practice, confidence and the people who help make a show possible.

Age suitability and learning: Preschool (3-5), Primary (6-8). The illustrated story suits shared reading with younger children and more independent exploration as reading grows. Following events encourages prediction, sequencing and vocabulary; discussing the characters gives children practice recognising feelings and considering other perspectives.
