Angelina Star Of The Show

Angelina hopes to shine in a performance, but preparing to be the star involves more than simply wanting the spotlight. Friends, practice and unexpected difficulties give her dancing adventure a recognisable emotional shape. A warm picture story for young performers and ballet enthusiasts, opening conversation about confidence, teamwork and the effort behind a show that looks effortless when the audience finally sees it.

Age suitability and learning: Preschool (3-5), Primary (6-8). The illustrated story suits shared reading with younger children and more independent exploration as reading grows. Following events encourages prediction, sequencing and vocabulary; discussing the characters gives children practice recognising feelings and considering other perspectives.
