Birds Build A Nest

Follow a bird as she gathers materials and builds a nest, introducing the practical effects of pushing, pulling and carrying through an everyday natural activity.

Age suitability and learning: Preschool (3-5), Primary (6-8). Picture-led explanations offer younger children a focus for shared learning and give older children details to explore independently. Illustrations and explanations encourage observation, comparison and questions about living things, building topic vocabulary and an early understanding of habitats and behaviour.
