Bluey Unicorse

A loud, badly behaved puppet called Unicorse interrupts Bluey's bedtime story and makes the evening much less straightforward than planned. The comic disruption gives the family another challenge to work through, with plenty of familiar character humour along the way. A playful read for children who enjoy mischievous surprises, opening conversation about interruptions, consideration and what happens when someone's joke becomes everyone else's problem.

Age suitability and learning: Preschool (3-5), Primary (6-8). The illustrated story suits shared reading with younger children and more independent exploration as reading grows. Following events encourages prediction, sequencing and vocabulary; discussing the characters gives children practice recognising feelings and considering other perspectives.
