Book Of Dog Poems

Celebrate dogs through an illustrated collection of poems capturing their energy, companionship and different personalities. The changing voices and rhythms invite reading aloud, while the artwork gives animal lovers more to notice, compare and enjoy as they explore how poetry can turn familiar behaviour into something freshly observed.

Age suitability and learning: Preschool (3-5), Primary (6-8), Older children (9-12). The variety of language gives the selected age groups material to enjoy aloud and explore through discussion. Reading supports vocabulary, attention to rhythm and expressive speech; interpreting images and ideas encourages personal responses, comparison and an appreciation of how words create atmosphere.
