Dear Zoo Paperback

A child writes to the zoo asking for a pet, but the animals that arrive are too big, too fierce or otherwise not quite right. Each new delivery gives little listeners another chance to guess and discover what is hidden. Rod Campbell's familiar pattern leads to a satisfying final choice, combining a simple story with animal naming, anticipation and plenty of opportunities to join in.

Age suitability and learning: Baby & toddler (0-2), Preschool (3-5). The interactive pictures make shared reading inviting for children building attention and confidence with books. Looking for clues and joining in supports prediction, vocabulary and story order, while exploring the pages encourages careful hand movements and a sense of participation in the story.
