Dog Man Grime And Punishment

The mayor has lost patience with Dog Man, leaving the canine hero to work out what comes next when his familiar role is threatened. Petey faces a different challenge as he thinks about forgiveness and his own past. Dav Pilkey's ninth graphic novel surrounds those feelings with comic chaos, lively pictures and unexpected turns, making room for kindness and second chances within a wonderfully silly adventure.

Age suitability and learning: Primary (6-8), Older children (9-12). Comic panels make the action approachable for primary readers and reward older children who enjoy visual humour. Reading words alongside pictures supports sequencing, inference and understanding of dialogue; the characters' choices invite discussion about friendship, kindness and working together.
