Enid Blyton Malory Towers Collection 1

Darrell Rivers arrives at Malory Towers ready for a new start, but settling into boarding school involves much more than lessons. Friendships, tempers and misunderstandings create a lively world in which she must learn about herself as well as the people around her. Enid Blyton's opening collection gives readers a warm series setting to explore, with everyday adventures that reward loyalty, fairness and the courage to admit when something has gone wrong.

Age suitability and learning: Primary (6-8), Older children (9-12). The longer narrative suits children ready to sustain attention across a developing story, whether reading independently or sharing it aloud. Following characters and events supports comprehension, vocabulary and reading stamina; discussing motives, settings and choices encourages inference, empathy and imaginative thinking.
