Goodnight Everyone

The animals are growing sleepy, and the quiet world of the forest gradually settles towards bedtime. Chris Haughton's richly coloured pictures and gentle repetition create a shared read that feels calm without losing its playful appeal. Children can notice who is still awake, join in with the pattern and enjoy the comforting sense that everyone has a place to curl up and rest.

Age suitability and learning: Baby & toddler (0-2), Preschool (3-5). The illustrated story suits shared reading with younger children and more independent exploration as reading grows. Following events encourages prediction, sequencing and vocabulary; discussing the characters gives children practice recognising feelings and considering other perspectives.
