Goodnight Max Board Book

Max the little rabbit is supposed to be settling down, but bedtime has its own distractions and complications. Rosemary Wells's familiar characters turn an ordinary family routine into an affectionate story with a mischievous edge. Clear pictures and recognisable moments give toddlers plenty to talk about, making it a friendly shared read for children who know that going to sleep is not always straightforward.

Age suitability and learning: Baby & toddler (0-2), Preschool (3-5). The illustrated story suits shared reading with younger children and more independent exploration as reading grows. Following events encourages prediction, sequencing and vocabulary; discussing the characters gives children practice recognising feelings and considering other perspectives.
