Madeline Board Book

In a Paris house filled with twelve little girls, Madeline stands out through her brave, spirited character. When illness interrupts their familiar routine, the story shows the affection and concern surrounding her. This board-book edition shares Ludwig Bemelmans's classic through rhythmic words and distinctive pictures, introducing a memorable child whose small size does not limit her courage or the strength of her personality.

Age suitability and learning: Baby & toddler (0-2), Preschool (3-5). The illustrated story suits shared reading with younger children and more independent exploration as reading grows. Following events encourages prediction, sequencing and vocabulary; discussing the characters gives children practice recognising feelings and considering other perspectives.
