Miffys Gaeseny

Miffy makes her own garden with Father Bunny's encouragement, digging the soil and planting carrot seeds. Watching them grow leads to the pleasure of harvesting something the family can enjoy together. Dick Bruna's clear pictures and gentle storytelling turn a small gardening project into a warm first adventure, giving children an approachable way to think about patience, helping and where the food on their plate begins.

Age suitability and learning: Baby & toddler (0-2), Preschool (3-5). The illustrated story suits shared reading with younger children and more independent exploration as reading grows. Following events encourages prediction, sequencing and vocabulary; discussing the characters gives children practice recognising feelings and considering other perspectives.
