My Clothespin Zoo

Turn clothespins into zoo animals with an approachable Klutz Jr. craft project. Children can choose animal features and decorations, then use their finished creatures in imaginative play, combining practical making with familiar wildlife themes.

Age suitability and learning: Preschool (3-5), Primary (6-8). The practical making task suits children who can follow a short sequence, with adult help for younger makers. Choosing details and assembling a design support fine motor coordination, planning and concentration, while the finished creation encourages imaginative play and confidence in creative work.
