One Happy Tiger By Catherine Rayner

One tiger's day grows happier as he encounters more companions, turning a gentle animal story into a journey through numbers. Catherine Rayner's expressive artwork gives the counting a warm emotional setting, with creatures and details for little children to notice together. The simple progression invites pointing and comparing, while the tiger's changing company offers a friendly way to talk about being alone and finding friends.

Age suitability and learning: Baby & toddler (0-2), Preschool (3-5). Rhythm and repeated language help younger listeners join in, while primary readers can explore the words and pictures more closely.
