Paddington At The Palace

Paddington's visit to a royal landmark brings the mixture of curiosity, enthusiasm and unintended trouble that follows him wherever he goes. The familiar bear helps make an impressive London setting feel approachable through a child's eye for surprises. A warm, gently comic outing for sharing aloud, with opportunities to talk about landmarks, public places and the way a well-meant action can produce an unexpected result.

Age suitability and learning: Preschool (3-5), Primary (6-8). The illustrated story suits shared reading with younger children and more independent exploration as reading grows. Following events encourages prediction, sequencing and vocabulary; discussing the characters gives children practice recognising feelings and considering other perspectives.
