The Anglo-Arabian is a breed of warm-blooded riding horse of French origin. This horse is primarily a cross between a Thoroughbred and an Arabian. The Anglo-Arabian is characterised by its appearance, lightness, skill, courage and strong personality. The Anglo-Arabian is generally considered to be a good all-round riding horse and very athletic as it is descended from two breeds with excellent sporting abilities. They are originally just slightly larger than the Arabian, but their size has increased over time and it is no longer uncommon for them to reach 1.66m at the withers.
