Peace At Last

Mr Bear is exhausted, but finding somewhere quiet to sleep proves surprisingly difficult. Mrs Bear snores, Baby Bear plays, and even the garden has noises of its own. Jill Murphy turns an ordinary bedtime problem into a warm, funny family adventure, with sounds children can join in with and a reassuring home setting that makes the search for peace wonderfully familiar.

Age suitability and learning: Baby & toddler (0-2), Preschool (3-5). The illustrated story suits shared reading with younger children and more independent exploration as reading grows. Following events encourages prediction, sequencing and vocabulary; discussing the characters gives children practice recognising feelings and considering other perspectives.
