Queen Miffy

Miffy imagines being a queen, stepping into a world of royal clothes and special possibilities. The simple story gives young children an approachable way to explore pretend play while enjoying Dick Bruna's unmistakable pictures. There is room to talk about what makes an ordinary day different from an imagined one and what a child might choose to do with a crown of their own.

Age suitability and learning: Baby & toddler (0-2), Preschool (3-5). The illustrated story suits shared reading with younger children and more independent exploration as reading grows. Following events encourages prediction, sequencing and vocabulary; discussing the characters gives children practice recognising feelings and considering other perspectives.
