The Cloud

A lonely child carries a dark cloud over her head until a classmate reaches out through drawing. A picture story about inclusion and patient friendship.

Age suitability and learning: Preschool (3-5), Primary (6-8). Preschoolers can enjoy an adult reading aloud, while primary-age children can explore the story and its ideas in more detail. Recognisable emotions give children a way to talk about their own experiences. Shared reading supports empathy, vocabulary and understanding how characters feel.
