The Story Orchestra The Nutcracker

Clara's Christmas gift draws her into a magical night of battles, strange transformations and a journey through an enchanting world. This Story Orchestra retelling introduces The Nutcracker with musical extracts from Tchaikovsky alongside the illustrated story. The combination gives each scene atmosphere and movement, creating a festive shared read in which children can connect what they hear with the adventure unfolding and enjoy the wonder of an ordinary present becoming extraordinary.

Age suitability and learning: Preschool (3-5), Primary (6-8). The combination of story, illustration and music suits shared reading and children beginning to listen more closely to composed music.
