Theres A Tiger In The Garden

Nora is bored and doubts her grandmother's suggestion that a tiger lives in the garden. But stepping outside brings discoveries that make the boundary between imagination and reality wonderfully uncertain. Lizzy Stewart's inviting adventure celebrates curiosity and the possibility of seeing ordinary surroundings differently, encouraging children to look closely, ask questions and allow a little wonder into a familiar day.

Age suitability and learning: Preschool (3-5), Primary (6-8). The illustrated story suits shared reading with younger children and more independent exploration as reading grows. Following events encourages prediction, sequencing and vocabulary; discussing the characters gives children practice recognising feelings and considering other perspectives.
