Tom Gates Random Acts Of Fun

Tom Gates finds new opportunities for entertainment and mischief as everyday life gives him another batch of things to plan, draw and describe. His diary-style storytelling pairs lively pictures with recognisable school and family experiences. A cheerful read for children who enjoy humour and an accessible voice, with the drawings offering an extra way into the situations and the inventive ideas that follow.

Age suitability and learning: Primary (6-8), Older children (9-12). The illustrations and conversational voice offer developing readers a welcoming route into a longer book, while older children can enjoy the humour and character details. Following the diary supports reading stamina, inference and understanding of perspective, with familiar situations prompting conversation about friendships and choices.
