Up And Down Oliver Jeffers

The penguin wants to fly, while the boy wants to help. Their adventure explores independence, friendship and discovering what really matters.

Age suitability and learning: Preschool (3-5), Primary (6-8). Preschoolers can enjoy an adult reading aloud, while primary-age children can explore the story and its ideas in more detail. Recognisable emotions give children a way to talk about their own experiences. Shared reading supports empathy, vocabulary and understanding how characters feel.
