Up And Down Oliver Jeffers Board

A penguin wants to fly, and his friend wants to help, but pursuing that dream leads them in different directions. Oliver Jeffers's gentle adventure looks at the tension between wanting independence and needing companionship. This board-book edition offers a warm story to share about trying something new, appreciating a friend's support and discovering what matters most when plans do not go as expected.

Age suitability and learning: Baby & toddler (0-2), Preschool (3-5). The illustrated story suits shared reading with younger children and more independent exploration as reading grows. Following events encourages prediction, sequencing and vocabulary; discussing the characters gives children practice recognising feelings and considering other perspectives.
