Up The Mountain (Hardback)

Every Sunday Mrs Badger walks up the mountain, noticing plants, greeting animals and helping anyone who needs her. When a small cat called Leo joins her, those walks become the beginning of a lasting friendship. Marianne Dubuc's gentle story follows the passing of knowledge between generations, exploring generosity, growing confidence and the way a familiar journey can become something precious to share.

Age suitability and learning: Preschool (3-5), Primary (6-8). The illustrated story suits shared reading with younger children and more independent exploration as reading grows. Following events encourages prediction, sequencing and vocabulary; discussing the characters gives children practice recognising feelings and considering other perspectives.
